May 28, 2011 — Functional Industries proudly announces that we have been accredited by CARF for a period of three years for the following services:

  • Employment Services: Community Employment Services: Job Development
  • Employment Services: Community Employment Services: Job Supports
  • Employment Services: Community Employment Services: Job Site Training
  • Employment Services: Employee Development Services
  • Employment Services: Employment Planning Services
  • Employment Services: Employment Transition Services
  • Employment Services: Organizational Employment Services

This accreditation will extend through May 2014. This achievement is yet another indication of Functional Industries’ dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of individuals we serve.

In a letter to Functional Industries Brian J. Boon, President and CEO of CARF, wrote:

"Please be advised that the CARF surveyors made no recommendations, which signifies that they did not identify any areas of nonconformance to the standards. This is an extraordinary accomplishment, as only 3 percent of CARF surveys result in no recommendations.”

Note: Established in 1966, CARF is the preeminent internationally recognized accreditation authority promoting and advocating for quality rehabilitation services. With headquarters in Tucson, Arizona and accredited organizations throughout the United States and Canada, CARF develops standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their rehabilitation programs. CARF is a privately funded, not-for-profit organization.
